Housewife Reveals Why She Bathed Her Husband In Hot Water And Secretly Buried Our 8-Months Old Baby


Touchaheart Nigeria reports that a housewife has revealed why she bathed her husband in hot water and killed and secretly buried their 8 month old baby.


Police operatives have arrested a 43-year-old housewife, Bisola Awodele, for allegedly pouring hot water on her husband thereby causing him severe burns.


The Police preliminary investigations also revealed that the suspect gave birth to a baby about eight months ago, but killed and secretly buried the baby out of frustration.


Bisola was said to have been arrested on the ith of March, 2021 by the operatives of the Ogun State Police Command.


Abimbola Oyeyemi, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ogun State Command, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect was arrested following a report by the husband, one Peter Phillips, who rushed to Sango Ota Police Area Command of Ogun State with a first degree burns all over his body.


Oyeyemi said that Philips reported that his wife, a mother of five, accused him of getting drunk always and as a result, picked a pot containing already heated hot water and poured on him.


He said that based on the report, the Area Commander, Muhideen Obe, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), quickly directed detectives to effect the arrest of the woman.


The team, he said, swiftly moved to the scene and apprehended the suspect.


“On interrogation, the suspect explained to the police how her husband was always coming home drunk without contributing to her welfare and that of their children.

“She stated further that on that fateful day, the husband came home drunk as usual, and while she was complaining about her husband’s act of drunkenness, the man started insulting her and her parents, which infuriated her, consequent upon which she poured the hot water on his body,” Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police added.


Oyeyemi said the police investigating team had gone with the suspect to the secret grave where she allegedly buried her baby to exhume the carcass.


The police image maker said the injured husband had been taken to the General Hospital, Ota, where he is recuperating.


Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, had ordered the immediate transfer of the case to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
