Pandora Papers: EFCC Summons Peter Obi
Peter Obi has been summoned to appear before investigators on October 27 at the agency’s Abuja headquarters over Pandora Papers leak.
Touchaheart Nigeria gathered that the EFCC, Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, has summoned Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, for questioning over his secret and illegal offshore operations, which PREMIUM TIMES reported in the ongoing Pandora Papers Investigations.

This online news outlet also learnt that since PREMIUM TIMES began investigating notable Nigerians engaging in offshore shenanigans exposed through the worldwide Pandora Papers probe, this is the first known action by any Nigerian law enforcement body.
According to people with knowledge of the instruction, the presidency has ordered those Nigerians named in the reports be investigated.
Mr Obi was invited by the EFCC last week, and he has been told to report to the agency’s Abuja headquarters on October 27 to face investigators.

What You Need To Know
According to various sources, the invitation is related to the discoveries in the PPREMIUM TIMES Pandora Papers story.
Mr Obi incorporated overseas holdings that he did not reveal to the Code of Conduct Bureau while serving as a governor, and he continued to operate his Next International UK Limited 14 months after becoming a governor, according to the study. In addition, as a governor, he continued to manage a foreign account.
According to a source at the anti-graft agency, the Pandora Papers revelations simply provided as a lead for investigators, and that “a variety of issues” about Mr Obi and his offshore dealings are now being scrutinized.
Touchaheart Nigeria also learnt that apart from Mr Obi, the PREMIUM TIMES’ ongoing Pandora Papers investigation has revealed the names of acting NPA MD Mohammed Bello-Koko and former minister and serving senator Stella Oduah.
Others were Kebbi State Governor Abubakar Bagudu, Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola, and his colleagues such as former Lagos Gov. Bola Tinubu and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
They also revealed on the offshore connections of former NSA Sambo Dasuki’s children and billionaire Leno Adesanya’s children.

It’s unclear whether the EFCC’s actions against Mr Obi are related to Mr Buhari’s directive.
