See How Liverpool Embarrass Manchester United With A Hat-trick From Salah

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that United trailed 4-0 at halftime for the first time in Premier League history and failed to score in a terribly one-sided match. In the league, the Red Devils have now taken a one-point-from-a-possible-12 run.

The carnage was began by Naby Keita, who was quickly followed by Diogo Jota, who doubled Liverpool’s lead inside 15 minutes.

Salah subsequently seized center stage, scoring 15 goals in 12 games this season and becoming the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history in the process. To cap off a dreadful day for United, Paul Pogba was sent off after only 15 minutes as a second-half substitution for a dangerous tackle that forced Keita to leave the pitch on a stretcher.

Liverpool’s first win in front of a home crowd at Old Trafford puts them back over Manchester City in second place, only a point behind leaders Chelsea.

United’s chances of winning the league for the first time since 2013 appear to be fading as they stay eight points behind the leaders.

With Tottenham and City coming up in the next fortnight before the international break, the gap is certain to widen.

Solskjaer’s future as manager is now in serious doubt, as he has entirely failed to put together a balanced team from a great group of star players.

Bruno Fernandes missed a wonderful chance to open the scoring on three minutes, and the Norwegian will wonder what might have been.

However, the defensive flaws that have dogged United’s season began to show soon after.

With a clinical low finish past David de Gea after just five minutes, Salah set up Keita to open the floodgates.

United fought back from a 2-0 deficit at halftime to win 3-2 against Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday. However, former Liverpool midfielder Paul Scholes’ prediction that if given the same space to attack into, Liverpool would be 4-0 up in 45 minutes came true.

As he stretched to turn in Trent Alexander-cross Arnold’s to double Liverpool’s lead, Jota justified his selection ahead of Sadio Mane.

Salah has now scored in ten straight games and surpassed Didier Drogba with his 105th Premier League goal as he turned home Keita’s cut-back with United’s defense at a loss. Cristiano Ronaldo escaped a red card as United’s emotions boiled over in first-half stoppage time when he was booked for slapping Curtis Jones, a foreshadowing of what was to come as the home side’s discipline crumbled.

Salah’s 14th goal in 12 games this season was scored at De Gea’s near post as Liverpool piled on the pressure before the interval.

After Jordan Henderson’s pass shredded the United defence once more, Salah scored his hat-trick with a clinical finish five minutes into the second half.

Ronaldo felt he had equalized, only for a VAR review to reveal that he was offside. Pogba’s cameo came to an end after another VAR check for a dreadful studs-up challenge on Keita that forced the Guinean off.

As Old Trafford emptied throughout the final half hour, Solskjaer sacrificed Fernandes and Marcus Rashford to attempt to stop the hemorrhage.

With an unbelievable save from Alexander-drive, Arnold’s De Gea ensured Liverpool failed to match their record margin of victory versus United.

The mood among the travelling fans, however, was not dampened, as they mockingly screamed for Solskjaer to keep his job.
