1.Yoruba Nation: What Buhari Sent Us To Tell Sunday Igboho – Ooni

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has expressed sadness for the detention of Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo alias Igboho in Benin Republic, revealing that the agitator turned down counsel from monarchs dispatched to converse with him.

He cited Buhari as saying that Igboho should be “cool and patient” and that he sent monarchs to the south-west to counsel Igboho against unlawful actions.

The traditional ruler, although acknowledging that the Igboho have a legitimate reason to fight, said he should have been more polite.

President Muhammadu Buhari will debut the e-Naira on Monday (today), according to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

President Buhari declared the official use of the new age electronic form of the nation’s indigenous paper money on Monday, bringing his promise to fruition.

According to Naija News, the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, were present at the unveiling.

The CBN will issue the E-Naira, which will have the same value as the paper currency. The money, according to Nigerian authorities, is not designed to replace cash, but rather to serve as a safe and efficient means of payment.

The administration was obliged to make the decision after the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a sit-at-home order, which hampered Monday academic and other activities in the state.

The Anambra government has permitted Saturday courses for private and public schools from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to compensate for the time missed on Mondays since the sit-at-home ban was implemented.

Saturday lectures will resume on October 30, 2021.
