Obi Cubana Posts As If It Happened Overnight On Instagram The EFCC’s stay confirms the existence of a’serious case.’

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that Obi Cubana’s overnight stay in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) indicates that the agency is investigating him.

The socialite appears to have been released, as he posted on his Instagram account at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

“I love you all, Unbroken”, the caption read. According to a security source, Obi Cubana’s spending the night in EFCC prison was an indicator that he had been thoroughly interrogated.

“They have a serious case against him. Definitely. Many people have been there and left the same day.

“What I can say is: If you go to the EFCC and spend the night, they have a serious case against you”, he said.

The entrepreneur, whose real name is Obinna Iyiegbu, is being investigated for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Obi Cubana, an Anambra native, arrived at the EFCC offices in Jabi, Abuja, at 12 p.m. on Monday.

Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC’s Head of Media, did not return DAILY POST calls or texts on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators reportedly demanded Obi Cubana to submit two sureties, both of whom must be Federal Directors, before he could be released. He was claimed to have met the requirement.

The businessman’s popularity doubled after the July burial of his mother in Afor Uzo. It is suspected that the EFCC paid more attention to him after the high-octane event.
