In Rivers state, four children are said to have died as a result of a fire outbreak

At least four children are believed to have died and others injured as a result of a fire that broke out this morning, November 22, near the Creek Road Market in Town, Port Harcourt.

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that according to witnesses, the fire was caused by a market boat carrying passengers. While some allege the fire started when the boat’s driver attempted to start the engine, others claim the driver was smoking when he attempted to start the engine, causing the fire to ignite. According to reports, the boat was carrying lumber, crayfish, and other food items.

The injured were transferred to the teaching hospital of Rivers State University.
