According to data from the FMDQ Security Exchange, where forex is officially exchanged, the naira and the US dollar exchange rate began at 413.63/$1 on Tuesday, December 7th, after closing at 415.00 to a $1 on Monday, December 6th, 2021.

 

How much is exchange rate of Dollar to Naira in Black Market today?

 

According to Bureau De Change sources, on Tuesday, December 7th 2021, the exchange rate for a dollar to naira at the Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) was N560 for a dollar and N562 for a dollar (BDC).

 

Please be aware that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market (black market), and has advised individuals interested in trading Forex to contact their local banks.

The naira-to-dollar exchange rate started at 413.63/$1 on December 7th, 2021, after closing at 415.00/$1 the day before. There was a -0.05 change.

 

Forex turnover is at $225.94 million, according to FMDQ data.

 

Meanwhile, when the Nigerian stock market fell by N598 billion at the close of last week, certain large-cap stocks suffered price losses.

 

The NGX All-Share Index lost 2.63 percent last week, closing at 42,167.91 basis points, down from 43,308.29, while stock market capitalization decreased to N22 trillion from N22.6 trillion.

 

According to The PUNCH, all other indexes concluded lower, with the exception of the NGX Insurance Index, which rose 2.97 percent, while the NGX ASeM, NGX Growth, and NGX Sovereign Bond Indices all closed flat.

 

Last week, investors on the NGX transacted a total of 1.28 billion shares worth N17.34 billion in 21,052 transactions, compared to 3.44 billion shares worth N30.92 billion in 21,109 transactions the week before.

 

Financial services led the activity chart in terms of volume, with 984.543 million shares worth N10.25 billion moved in 11,029 transactions.

 

It contributed 77.01 percent of total equity turnover volume and 59.09 percent of total equity turnover value, respectively.
