Touchaheart Nigeria reports that Prince Charles bestowed the honor on the 36-year-old Formula One driver during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday morning. His mother, Carmen Larbalestier, was present during the wedding.
Hamilton, a seven-time Formula One world champion, was knighted for his contributions to the sport. As the fourth Formula One racer to be knighted, he joins Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Stirling Moss, and Sir Jack Brabham.
