Cardi Takes Stand In A Libel Case Against YouTuber LaTasha Kebe

Cardi B took the stand in a libel case against YouTuber LaTasha Kebe on Thursday, January 13. (a.k.a. Tasha K).

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that Cardi accused Kebe of fabricating “malicious” charges against her in a lawsuit filed in March 2019, including that she was a prostitute, cheated on her spouse, used cocaine, and had herpes and HPV.

She said Kebe wanted to “destroy” her career by making “false” charges about her on purpose. The “degrading and harassing” comments, according to Cardi, began in April 2018, when Kebe posted a video on her YouTube channel, unWinewithTashaK, stating that Cardi’s pregnancy with Kulture could result in a child born with special needs.

The lawsuit added;

Kebe became obsessed with slandering and harassing [Cardi]. In the 16 months preceding the filing of this lawsuit, Kebe put out at least 38 videos regarding [the rapper].”

According to the lawsuit, one of the videos, which was published in September 2018, received 4 million views, which is “significantly” bigger than the audience Kebe “typically garners”.

Kebe, on the other hand, has denied any wrongdoing and attempted to sue Cardi for assault and intentional infliction of mental distress, stating that she was intimidated when Cardi “began to publicly trash” her on the internet. According to Rolling Stone, Kebe’s allegations were dismissed by Judge William M. Ray II in July.

Cardi B revealed how Kebe’s claims affected her while testifying in court on Thursday.

“I felt extremely suicidal,” Cardi shared, according to Billboard, adding that she also felt “helpless.” TMZ reported that Cardi also said “I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband.”

She also stated that she felt as though she “didn’t deserve” her daughter Kulture, who was born in July 2018 to her and Migos artist Offset.

In videos posted in 2018 and 2019, Kebe disseminated the rumors to her roughly 1 million YouTube fans, claiming she suffered from exhaustion, weight loss, migraines, and anxiety.

Cardi apologized to the judge for using vulgarity and stated, “Only an evil person could do that s–,” After repeating the incident made her feel suicidal, she broke down in tears.

On the same day, the rapper was cross-examined by the YouTuber’s lawyer.
