Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has expressed his condolences on the death of Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya, the former Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG).
Adeniran-Ogunsanya, the daughter of Prince Adeniran Ogunsanya, a renowned Ikorodu-born politician and associate of the late Nnamdi Azikiwe, died on Tuesday at the age of 74 following a brief illness.
Between 2007 to 2011, she served as the Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG) during former Governor Babatunde Fashola’s (SAN) first term in office.
Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded the late Princess Adeniran-contribution Ogunsanya’s to the governance, progress, and development of Lagos State during her term as the State’s scribe in a condolence note signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, on Tuesday.
The Governor, who praised the late politician and entrepreneur for her significant contributions to Lagos politics, particularly in the Ikorodu division, expressed his condolences to the leaders and people of Ikorodu on the passing of their great daughter.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State, I wish to extend my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the late Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG), Princess Adenrele Adeniran-family, Ogunsanya’s friends, and political allies.”
“Princess Adenrele Adeniran-death Ogunsanya’s is a huge loss for Lagos State. As SSG, she had a significant positive impact on the growth and development of Lagos State during her lifetime. When she was a member of the ruling party in Lagos, she had a big impact, especially in Ikorodu.
“I pray that God provides Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya eternal peace and that God allows her immediate family, friends, political allies, and the people of Ikorodu the strength to suffer the irreparable loss,” Governor Sanwo-Olu prayed.
