At a press conference, Joe Biden was caught on camera calling a Fox News reporter a “Stupid Son of a B***h.”
Before calling a reporter a “dumb son of a b***h,” Joe Biden should have double-checked that his microphone was turned off.
As journalists were being hustled out of the White House press briefing on Monday, the US President made the comment.
Peter Doocy of Fox News tried to cram in a question about inflation, which is nearing a 40-year high and has harmed Biden’s popular image.
‘Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterm elections?’ he asked. ‘It’s a great asset – more inflation.’ Biden replied.
The President then shook his head and said, ‘What a foolish son of a b**h,’ according to reports.
In a subsequent interview on his network, which has been mercilessly critical of Biden, Doocy brushed it off, joking: ‘Nobody has fact-checked him yet and stated it’s not true.’
He told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, “Within about an hour of that interaction, he contacted my cellphone and said, “It’s nothing personal, mate.”
‘And we were talking about just moving forward, and I made sure to tell him that I’m always going to try to ask something different than what everyone else is asking.’
“You’ve got to,” he said – and that’s a quotation from the president. So I’m going to keep doing it.’
Despite everything else going on in the globe, Doocy said it was a “good call” and that he “liked” the President taking the time to “clear the air.”
The White House has stated repeatedly that it is focused on reducing inflation, with Vice President Biden refocusing his entire economic agenda on the subject.
However, the President has shown a willingness to confront a media that he believes is overly critical, particularly Fox News and Doocy.
‘You always ask me the sweetest things,’ Biden observed to Doocy at his news conference last week.
The reporter replied, ‘I have a whole binder full,’ to which Biden replied, ‘I know you do.’ None of these make sense to me at all. ‘Go for it.’
