Emirates Airline, the UAE’s national airline, has announced that passenger flights between Dubai and Nigeria will resume on Saturday, February 5, 2022.
Passengers flying to Dubai will be subjected to an additional COVID-19 test and will be placed in self-quarantine until the results of the test are obtained, according to the airline.
With daily flights to and from Abuja and Lagos, the airline will offer more options, comfort, and connection for travelers traveling to Dubai and over 120 other destinations.

“Emirates will operate to Abuja with EK 785 and 786,” the airline said in a statement. EK 785 will leave Dubai at 11:00 a.m. and arrive in Abuja at 15:40 a.m. The return flight, EK 786, will depart Abuja at 1900 hrs and arrive in Dubai at 0435 hrs the following day.
“Emirates flight EK 783 from Dubai to Lagos will take off at 1030 a.m. and land at 1540 a.m. The return flight, EK 784, will leave Lagos at 1810 hours and arrive in Dubai at 0415 hours the following day. All flights are available to book on emirates.com, through OTAs, and through travel agents.
“A 48-hour PCR test is required for all travellers departing Nigeria with Dubai as their final destination.” Passengers must provide a valid negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate with a QR code for a test performed at an accredited facility, with the validity determined from the moment the sample was taken. Passengers will be subjected to an additional Covid-19 PCR test upon arrival in Dubai and will be placed in self-quarantine until the results of the test are received.
Passengers transiting through Dubai from Nigeria must adhere to the rules and regulations of their final destination.
Dubai has remained one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations, especially during the winter season, since it safely restarted tourism business in July 2020, according to Emirates.
