Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has returned to Nigeria just ten days after leaving the country for the United Kingdom (UK) to meet Nigerians overseas and potentially discuss his presidential ambitions and development plans.
As previously reported, Tinubu was greeted by some APC leaders upon his arrival in the nation, who informed him of recent developments inside the party and measures being made to resolve them.
The former governor of Lagos State landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja with his entourage.
Tinubu’s arrival was confirmed to newsmen by his spokesman, Tunde Rahman, who said, “He (Tinubu) just arrived at the Lagos airport and is on his way to his house.”
The APC leader is set to begin talks for his presidential bid, which he termed as a “lifelong goal” upon his return on Sunday.
Tinubu had been in the United Kingdom for more than three months in 2021 when he underwent knee surgery and treatment.
In October of that year, he returned to the country and traveled to various parts of the country to meet political heavyweights and stakeholders ahead of the next election.
