Fast Furious Actor, Tyrese Gibson Announces His Mother’s Death

Tyrese Gibson, an American rapper and actor, has announced his mother, Priscilla Murray Gibson, has died after a battle with COVID-19 and pneumonia.

The “Fast and Furious” star uploaded a devastating video of himself holding his mother’s hand in her hospital bed as he said his final farewell with tears in his eyes.

He wrote:

“On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent any time praying for my mother This is the saddest moment of my life………. My sweet Valentine just passed away…..”

“May the Lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her………. We as a family are broken and just can’t believe this……. May the Lord Jesus Christ honor your walk with him and embrace you into the heavens…….”

“From here on I ask that you HOLD MY HAND MOTHER and never let my hand go………. Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother…..” concluded Gibson, who is the youngest of four siblings in his family.

Gibson also expressed gratitude to famed jazz musician Kenny G, who performed “Forever in Love” for Gibson and his mother during an Instagram Live when they were in the hospital.

“Dear @kennyg I will never ever forget what you did for our beloved mother you sent her into the heavens with the perfect melody……….” he wrote. “I am going to watch this clip over and over and remember that you sent her into the heavens on the sweetest Melodies….”

Throughout his mother’s illness, the 43-year-old actor and musician had been appealing for prayers from his fans.

On February 5, he announced on Instagram that she was in a coma and in the ICU.

“My mother is in a coma, in ICU, with Pneumonia and she caught Covid they got her so sedated she can’t breathe or even eat on her own,” he wrote. “I need prayers the most sincere prayers from you prayer warriors…. Hold on mother I’m there by your side in a few days….. God can do things, he’s pulled you OUT of a coma before….. Oh God, I saw the light things have been going so well…. Now, this…”

He later revealed that upon arriving at the hospital, he received devastating news.

“The Doctor sat in this chair and just broke my heart by telling me there’s pretty much nothing else that can be done to turn things around,” he wrote. “I paused, and in my most sincere voice, I asked him…. Have you ever heard of a man named Jesus Christ? Nothing is impossible for him…… Ha paused and couldn’t respond…!!”

Tyrese also shared a photo of himself clutching the hand of his mother.

“Keep fighting mother………,” he wrote. “Please mother, we need You…….”
