In the struggle against Russian invasion, a former Miss Ukraine has traded her beauty for weaponry.

Anastasiia Lenna, Ukraine’s Miss Grand International representative for 2015, posted a photo on social media showing herself armed and ready to defend her home.

Anastasiia isn’t afraid to use a firearm, even if it’s one that fires plastic projectiles rather than actual bullets. Streams of photos from the past couple of years show her in full military gear in forested arenas and indoor training fields, but she’ll be hoping her experience comes in help now.

The former beauty queen has been using her platform to rally support for her country since Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine this week.

She also shared a photo with her 97,000 Instagram followers of soldiers walking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom she described as “a true and strong leader.”

Former Miss Grand Ukraine, who previously worked as a model and public relations manager in Turkey, has also urged Ukrainians to destroy all road signs to make it more difficult for invading soldiers to traverse around the country.

Her call to action read;

“Dismantling road signs on all roads of the country. The enemy has a pathetic connection, they don’t orientate the terrain. Let’s help them go straight to hell.

“The State Road Agency of Ukraine calls on all road organisations, territorial communities, local authorities to immediately start dismantling road signs nearby.”

Anastasiia has also worked as a translator and speaks five languages. Below are some more images…
