Russian Ask Facebook To Stop Fast-Checking

According to Facebook CEO Nick Clegg, the social media platform declined to comply with Russian requests that it cease fact-checking and labeling anything published by media outlets.

“We were directed by Russian authorities yesterday to suspend independent fact-checking and labeling of content posted on Facebook by four Russian state-owned media groups,” Clegg added. “We said no.” As a result, they’ve indicated that they’ll limit who can access our services.”
