Osinbajo Says He Has No Plans To Run For President In 2023
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has denied yet again that he will run for President in 2023.
On Monday, rumours surfaced that Osinbajo had told his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, of his decision to run for President on the APC platform.
However, Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, told Arise TV that the allegation is untrue and speculative. He reiterated that his prior tweets denying Osinbajo’s ambition are still valid, and that any information regarding the Vice President will come from him rather than the media.
This is the second time in just a month that speculation about Osinabjo running for President in 2023 has appeared.
