BREAKING: Former Governor Willie Obiano Was Arrested By EFCC Hours After Leaving Office

Former Governor Willie Obiano was detained by the EFCC just hours after leaving office.

Willie Obiano, the former governor of Anambra State, was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital.

Obiano, who was on the EFCC’s watchlist, was arrested at around 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022, according to this online news platform.

Willie Obiano was said to be on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas.
