Chelsea’s Squad To Face Middlesbrough In FA Cup Quarter-finals, See Squad

For the match against the Championship side, Thomas Tuchel is close to having a complete team at his disposal.

Following Lille’s victory, Thomas Tuchel is looking forward to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that Chelsea will meet Middlesbrough in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, hoping to make even more progress in their cup tournaments this season. The Blues are coming off a 2-1 win over Lille in the Champions League, securing their place in the competition’s last eight.

Despite the issues the club has faced off the field in recent weeks, Thomas Tuchel has found his side in excellent form. The club’s short- and long-term survival has been cast into doubt after Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government, causing his UK assets to be frozen.

The football club, for example, now functions under a special sports license that allows it to function on a footballing level but not so much on a commercial level. This implies that tickets and merchandise, including away tickets for the Riverside game, will not be sold.

Tuchel, on the other hand, will be looking for third time fortunate in the FA Cup, after the Blues had lost the last two finals. They qualified for the quarter-finals with victories over Chesterfield, Plymouth, and Luton.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand, are not a team to be underestimated. Despite being in second tier, the Boro have defeated Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to reach this stage.

With that in mind, Touchaheart Nigeria examines the entire team from whom Tuchel might choose.

Goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli.

Defenders: Cesar Azpilicueta, Reece James (doubt), Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Malang Sarr, Trevoh Chalobah, Marcos Alonso, Kenedy.

Midfielders: N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi (doubt), Christian Pulisic, Saul Niguez, Harvey Vale.

Forwards: Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz.
