2022 UTME: JAMB Issues A New Update On The JAMB Registration Deadline For 2022
Prof Ishaq Oloyode, speaking in Kano, northern Nigeria, said the board had so far registered 1.4 million candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination across the country.
The JAMB Registrar, according to this online news site, informed applicants that the UTME registration deadline of March 26 will not be extended.
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board remarked this while inspecting the level of preparedness and amenities at the board’s Kano zonal office.
According to the JAMB chairman, the board would not give in to demands to prolong the UTME registration period, claiming that it has met all of the prerequisites for a smooth registration of prospective candidates.
‘’My mission in Kano is to assess the level of registration. There is no crowd at the centres; the registration is going on smoothly, but the board is worried that towards the end of the exercise, people will be clamouring for an extension,” he stated.
The National Identification Number was no longer a problem, according to JAMB, and candidates should be made aware of this.
Touchaheart Nigeria reports that the JAMB registrar stated that the board had enrolled 1.4 million candidates across the country so far.
