Viju Industries Celebrate International Water Day, Advocates Effective Water Management

The company made this call in commemoration of International Water Day, a day celebrated every March 22, to draw attention to the global water situation.

According to the firm, the special day should go beyond creating awareness in the media or storytelling, there is an urgent need for something drastic to be done to bring about sustainable change in realizing the United Nation’s targets of Sustainable Development Goal 6, SDG6.

“Acknowledging the fact that water beds are shrinking globally, it is important that we go beyond putting up creative marking International Water Day. As a company, whose water needs for its operations can’t be overemphasized, we need to be socially responsible in curbing water wastage. ”

World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance day held to highlight the importance of freshwater. The day is also used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
