On May 29th, 2022, Mr. Emmanuel Udom emerged as the governor of Akwa Ibom. By the above-stated date, Governor Emmanuel Udom has held leadership of the state for seven years.

●Implementation of Ibom Enterprises Development Schemes (IBEDS) for the empowerment of Entrepreneurs in the State

●Establishment of the Akwa Ibom Enterprise and Employment Scheme (AKEES) that is promoting: entrepreneurship in the State.

●Provision of fishing equipment to groups in coastal communities

●Construction of model Skill Development Centre at Ikot Akpan Ndua, Ibesikpo Asutan LGA for the training of youths and women in specialized skills.

●Provision of Food Processing Equipment and Agricultural inputs to cooperative groups through Akwa Ibom State Life Enhancement Agency. ●Setting up of the Micro-Enterprise and Development Agency by enacting the Akwa Ibom Micro-Enterprise and Development Agency Law (AKMEDA)

●Vocational training of youths in various sectors including agriculture, power, and SMEs.

●Empowerment of women, youths, and elders through inter-ministerial Direct Labour jobs.

●Registration of 3,458 Cooperative Societies and Development Associations between 2015 and 2018.

●Empowerment of over 60 Cooperative Societies across the 31 Local government areas.

●Training and dedication of over 500 young entrepreneurs in business communication and other related areas.

●Engagement and empowerment of 150 young farmers in Ibom Community Farm.

●Free registration and positioning of businesses in the state to gain access to grants and loans from CBN and other financial institutions

●Quarterly presentation of basic business tools and equipment to the My Entrepreneurship Goals Programme (MEGP).

●Provision of Interest-free loans to youths.

●Provision of grants to over 300 widows to boost their businesses.
