Kwankwaso’s lawmaker and three others abandon the NNPP in favor of the APC
Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s local government area, Madobi, Hon. Kabiru Yusuf Isma’il, a member of the Kano State House of Assembly, has defected from the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.
According to a statement issued by the Kano State Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, another member of the House, Hon. Mu’azzam El-Yakubu, who represents the Dawakin Kudu State constituency, has also abandoned Kwankwaso’s NNPP for the APC.
He said that a wave of defections has recently swept the NNPP, affecting members of the State and National Assemblies in particular.
Isa Ali, a member of the state assembly representing Bagwai/Shanono, has also rejoined the APC, according to Garba, days after defecting to the NNPP.
Hon. Murtala Musa Kore, a member of the Assembly representing Dambatta State constituency, also renounced his membership in the NNPP in order to remain in the APC.
