Touchaheart reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) plans to screen another 27,105 candidates’ results from the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB issued a fresh update on JAMB Result 2022 and JAMB 2022 on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in a statement on the microblogging site, Twitter, where it noted that it had withheld 69 results thus far, according to this online news platform.
According to statistics released by the board via its official Twitter handle, @jAMBHQ, 1,761,338 candidates have registered for the 2022 UTME. Only 1,671,203 results were released out of 1,707,626 students who sat for the exams, according to JAMB.
Furthermore, according to JAMB’s statistics on the 2022 UTME Results, 27,105 results would be referred to further screening. As a result of biometric issues, the board withheld 69 results, while 1,783 candidates were rescheduled to write.

Despite initial hurdles like as the high cost diesel, JAMB partnered with test centers in the procurement of diesel, making the 2022 UTME/DE examination a major success, unlike prior years.
JAMB also noted that it would subsequently adopt the use of laptops for examinations.
“For effective delivery of its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination at the various CBT centres nationwide, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has concluded plans to phase out the use of zero thin-client computers from the conduct of its UTME.
“Hence, the major drawback against a zero thin-client configuration is that once the memory of the server is exhausted, or if there is any network disruption, all connected users are simultaneously affected, thereby impacting multiple candidates at once in the centre.
“This policy direction is one of the measures being contemplated to address the issue of examination disruptions holistically. Consequently, the board, in consideration of the immense benefits to candidates and centres alike, is requesting its partnering centres to begin to plan for obtaining mini PCs that are cheap to procure, easy to operate, and more efficient in power consumption.”

1. Go to the JAMB result checking portal
2. Enter your Registration Number/Email Address in the blank box provided.
3. Click on “Check My Results” (The portal will load your result will show on the screen).
