Bola Tinubu Submits Masari’s Name As His Running Mate

Masari has been nominated as Bola Tinubu’s running mate in the 2023 presidential election.

Touchaheart reports that Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate (APC). Kabir Ibrahim Masari’s name has been submitted. As part of a strategy to beat the Independent National Electoral Commission’s deadline of Friday, June 17th (INEC). The names of presidential candidates and their running partners must be submitted by political parties.

Masari is a name that this internet news outlet is familiar with. Later, the person from President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state will be replaced. After then, the stakeholders in the party must agree on a viable vice-presidential candidate for the elections in 2023.

A party source confirmed to DAILY POST that Tinubu had submitted his running mate’s name, but noted that “consultation is still continuing.”

Tinubu and the ruling party took the move to meet the legislative conditions and beat the deadline set by the electoral arbiter, according to reports.

Tinubu, on the other hand, will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari today to begin discussions over his running mate.

The ruling party’s decision to select Muslim-Muslim tickets has been widely panned.

Despite the fact that various names had been mentioned as possible running partners for the former governor of Lagos State. It was discovered that no agreement had been reached.

According to a source in Tinubu’s camp, all of the northern governors desire the job.

Tinubu, according to the source, would have chosen Kashim Shettima to be appointed. As his running mate, he has the former governor of Borno State. However, he preferred that the president and governors make the decision.

“All northern governors want it,” the insider stated. Senator Kashim will be the one if Asiwaju gets his way. But he wants the president and governors to make the decision for him.”

When asked why Tinubu does not want to choose his running mate himself. The insider stated that he does not want to be a ‘winner takes all’ candidate.

“He does not want to be the winner takes it all. You need to respect the President. PMB did not choose a VP for himself in 2015,” the source said.

Hon. James Faleke, a leader of the Tinubu Support Group, was at the party secretariat yesterday, but his mission was unknown.

According to the source, Faleke visited the party secretariat yesterday. To get INEC’s presidential and vice-presidential candidate registration forms.

When asked if Faleke was present to introduce Tinubu to his running companion, he said no.

According to the source, no agreement has been reached on the issue.

“When the decision is made, it would be made known to all and the decision would be made tomorrow (today),” he added.
