Globally, like a neurons in a giant brain,we are connected by the internet.

As a result, It has become a huge , valuable and easy source of information.

People tend to use it more, considering the fact that, as they say, it is just a click away. It is one of the most easily available sources of information to almost everyone at the fastest pace, and it has become hub of information, which is growing at a fast pace.

An Information Technology Consultant in National Institute of Information Technology, Mr. Olabode Adeosun, mentioned that Internet is a wide range network devices, gadgets such as mobile devices all over the world.

In addition to, it enhances effective communication, knowledge, research; helps a lot of industries and businesses. e.g. banking sectors now use mobile and internet banking, then businesses uses transact online and e-commerce.

According to research, the Internet emerged in the United States in 1970s but did not became visible to the general public until the early 1990s.

By 2020, approximately 4.5 billions people, or more than half of the world’s population, were estimated to have access to the Internet.

According to, Mr. Adubi Michael stated that Internet is a great advantage; it makes the world a global village ,increase the rate of technology and boost learning process.

Moreso, during the Covid-19 pandemic, there was no physical gathering but through Internet the communication and learning didn’t stop; even it was during this time that many businesses became known. E.g.e-commerce.

Inspite of the usefulness, it can disrupt many valuable activities not to be done or carried out once there is a maximum concentration on it .

Further more, Mr.Adeniran Akeem stated that, Internet expose the teenagers to what is beyond their normal reasoning.

Also, it makes many Youths lazy and they don’t want to do things manually.

An interview with an anonymous person, said that, Internet could be uncontrollable in the society when been abused.

Therefore, Internet is one of the best thing ever invented in humanity, but when used properly and not negatively.
