10 Injured And 3 Dead In Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway Accident
On Sunday, a Mazda bus was involved in a single collision that resulted in three deaths and ten injured persons in the Onipepeye sector of the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.
The accident was confirmed to news reporters in Abeokuta by Mr. Ahmed Umar, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun.
He blamed the accident on excessive speeding as the driver of the bus, marked APP 297 YC, lost control at a bend and summersault.
He added that 15 persons were involved in the accident comprising four men, nine women, a boy, and a girl, saying that 10 people were injured while two men and a woman died.
According to Umar, the deceased was left at the hospital’s morgue while the injured were brought to State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
The sector commander expressed sympathy to the victims’ families and warned drivers against driving too fast.
