Shettima’s NBA attire: See reactions as #ShettimaChallenge trends on Twitter, there is now a cash prize

Sen. Kashim Shettima, a vice presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), looked awkwardly attired at the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference on Monday at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. He appeared to be wearing an apparent oversized suit and sneakers.

The former governor of Borno state faced harsh criticism for his attire after attending the NBA since his crimson necktie was visible underneath the suit because he didn’t unbutton it before sitting down.

Twitter users are already sharing various imitations of Shettima as he appeared yesterday under the hashtag #ShettimaChallenge.

In an effort to support a politician for the ruling party earlier today, Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for labor and productivity, dressed similarly to Shettima but added a face cap of his own.

Although Shettima gave a rousing speech about transforming the country’s face by emulating Borno and Lagos states’ successes under Bola Tinubu and himself, the APC’s presidential nominees, most Nigerian youths on the Blue App are disparaging Shettima.

Omotayo Williams, a Twitter user asked people to tag him in their #ShettimaChallenge pictures. He says the funniest will get a cash prize.
