Educationalist Calls On FG And ASUU To Cease Their Strikes
Jide Bello, an educationalist, has pleaded with the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to come to an agreement, to prevent the education sector from completely collapsing.
At the school’s 2022 Valendictory event conducted in Ota, Ogun State, Bello, the executive director of De Dynamic Private Schools, appealed to them.
He claimed that closing schools would further harm the sector’s reputation given the amount of money still required to be invested in Nigeria’s education system.
He thinks it is shocking to see students absent from class for such a long time.
Bello, while reacting to the performance of the school at the recent West African Senior Certificate Examination, said a lot of academic efforts were invested to nurture the pupils to achieve the feat.
He stated the teachers’ professionalism and thoroughness with the school’s curriculum were essential to the students’ success. He advised the students to look farther than the stars and not get complacent.
Additionally, he urged parents to make greater investments in developing their kids’ potential.
Prior to this, Linda Odunmbaku, a guest speaker, gave the children advice on how to succeed: develop your character and be consistent.
