Even With Aubameyang, Dinamo Zagreb Defeats Chelsea
Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League season has begun with a defeat as Dinamo Zagreb managed to hold on for a narrow 1-0 victory on Tuesday night.

Although Thomas Tuchel started with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, the Gabonese player and his teammates were unable to prevent the Blues from losing at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.
Mislav Orsic of Dinamo Zagreb scored in the 13th minute against the flow of play by lobbying the ball past Kepa Arizaballaga.
Sterling, Havertz, and James all came close to scoring at various points during the game as Chelsea had more possession and opportunities.

After Chilwell, who provided the pass, was judged to be offside, Aubameyang’s goal in the 49th minute was also disallowed for offside.
For the first time under Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea will lose three straight-away games after last doing so in December 2020 under Frank Lampard.
With three points, Dinamo Zagreb now leads Group E’s standings. Later on Tuesday night, AC Milan will play host to RB Salzburg.
With goals from Marcos Reus, Raphael Guerreiro, and Jude Bellingham, Dortmund destroyed Copenhagen 3-0 in the other early match.
