At 10 PM today, Apple will release iOS 16, its newest software upgrade. Users of iPhones can manually install it through the settings app. Here is the procedure and a complete list of iPhones.

Today at 10 PM, iOS 16, Apple’s newest operating system, will be released for iPhones. Yes, at its FarOut event, which also saw the introduction of the iPhone 14 lineup, Apple Ultra wristwatch, Watch series 8, Watch SE, and AirPods Pro 2, Apple also revealed the release date for iOS 16.

The new software update will bring several exciting features including the customizable lock screen, always on display, edit and unsend iMessages, and others as announced during Apple annual developer conference held in June this year. The iOS 16 public beta version has already been released and today, it will be available for all. Know which iPhones will get the iOS 16 update and how you can install it.

iOS 16 supported iPhones

Every iOS update includes a significant feature boost as well as numerous small adjustments all around. How to update your iPhone to iOS16?

Before you start the update, back up your data so that you don’t lose any. Also, make sure that your phone is charged and then head to install iOS16.

Step 1: Go to Settings of your iPhone and then head to General

Step 2: Now tap on software update and then click on the Upgrade to iOS 16 at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Now, download and install the iOS16. Once installed, you can access the Focus modes, or set up your new lock screen.
