How To Register To Vote: Step By Step Process On How To Register To Vote In Nigeria

 

Are you ready for the 2023 general elections?

 

Have you ensured that you will be qualified to vote in the can didate of your choice?

 

From Monday, June 28th, you can register to vote!

 

The Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) exercise has been made easy with an online platform to capture your data after which you are scheduled for biometric capture at an INEC office close to you.

 

Touchaheart Nigeria brings you step by step process on how to register to vote or participate in the 2023 General Elections.

 

Follow the steps below to register.

  • Pre-register via – cvr.inecnigeria.org
  • Create an account with a valid email address.
  • Follow the account activation link sent yo your email address.
  • Login and fill the form.
  • Select a convenient date for your biometric capturing.
  • Submit form and wait for application slip containing ID, QR Code and other details.
  • Print out the application slip.
  • Visit your INEC registration center to capture your biometrics on the appointed date.
  • A registration slip will be issued once registration is completed.
  • Use the issued slip to collect your Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC)

 

For citizens without access to the internet;

If you do not have or know someone who doesn’t have access to the internet, a physical/in-person registration has commenced on Monday, July 19th, at INEC state and local government offices nationwide.

 

The CVR exercise is for citizens who;

  • Are 18 years and above and have never registered to vote, lost or damaged their PVC
  • Want to transfer their voting location
  • Have registered but had problems during the past elections etc.
