Tottenham hopes to get back to winning ways against Brighton

When Tottenham plays Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday in the Premier League, manager Antonio Conte will challenge his team to go all-out in order to get three points.

Last weekend’s North London derby saw Spurs lose 3-1 to Arsenal, while in Roberto De Zerbi’s debut game in charge, Brighton held Liverpool to a 3-3 draw.

Although Brighton had won two of their previous three Premier League matches against Spurs, including a 1-0 triumph at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in April, the North London club had triumphed 2-0 in the opposite matchup last season.

Tottenham, meanwhile, also had a solid start to the season, finishing third in the rankings with 17 points after winning five, drawing two, and losing one of their eight Premier League games.

However, Antonio Conte’s team has lost three of their last four matches across all competitions, including a 3-1 loss to Arsenal last weekend in the North London derby. Harry Kane’s penalty tied the game in the 31st minute, but the Gunners added two more goals through Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka.

Tottenham is aware that they will have their hands full playing against a strong Brighton team that is presently ranked in the top four of the English Premier League.

They are currently a difficult opponent to play, and after an exciting 3-3 draw with Liverpool the previous Saturday, they would be motivated to defeat Spurs.

As opposed to Tottenham, who have only won one of their four away games in the top tier, this is not something that should be written off for them. Tottenham will have to take a lot away from Brighton in order to lose, though, given the humiliation they suffered at the weekend and their superior talent and experience.
