In Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, an unnamed employee of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) was electrocuted.

According to information obtained, the event happened on Thursday, October 27, in the evening at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport entrance.

In a brief video shared on Facebook, the official can be seen hanging from the high-tension cable as other officials attempt to lower the lifeless-appearing body. The PHED patrol vehicle number 019 is visible parked underneath the high-tension.

The most recent occurrence occurred less than a month after another PHEDC employee was fatally electrocuted on a high-tension pole at Army Junction in Calabar, just a few meters from Eburutu Military Cantonment.
