France defeated England 2-1 on Saturday to advance to the World Cup semifinals against Morocco, after Harry Kane missed a last-second penalty. Olivier Giroud scored the game-winning goal.
In the first half, Aurelien Tchouameni gave France the lead with a goal, but after the break, Kane equalized from the penalty spot.
In the 78th minute, Giroud’s deflected header put France ahead, and Kane missed his second penalty kick of the game.
