We Did Not Invade CBN- Dss
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s premises were not invaded on Monday, according to the Department of State Services (DSS).
The DSS denied as false and unsubstantiated media claims that its agents entered the central bank to detain Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the CBN Governor, who had returned to the nation earlier in the day.
However, in a statement provided to Vanguard, DSS spokesman Dr. Peter Afunanya referred to the reports of DSS agents entering the CBN to arrest Emefiele as “false news.”
