Update On The Dead South African Rapper, AKA, see how he died (Video)

AKA, a South African rapper, was tragically shot and killed on Friday night in Durban. His name was Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.

Reports indicate that AKA was the target of a drive-by shooting that took place outside the Wish Restaurant on Florida Road.

The rapper intended to celebrate his birthday night at the YUGO nightclub in Stamford Hill but was shot dead.

Also, the rapper’s close friend was killed and his bodyguard was left injured.

He was born and bred in Cape Town, and gained prominence in 2011 when his single “Victory Lap,” which was featured on his debut album Altar Ego, was made available.

He gained a following in Nigeria as well, thanks to his hit single “Fela in Versace.”
