“When you see something, say something”- Major General Obinna Ajunwa ( OC )
The Nigerian Army had an interactive session with some members of the media.
The anchorman of the event, Major General Obinna Ajunwa ( OC ) in his welcome address said the whole essence of the gathering is for the and the media to synergize and make sure their best is given, that everything goes on well before, during and after the election.
Harping on the slogan that says “See Something, Say Something”, he said it must not just be mere wordings but must be enforced too. Whatever news that can jeopardise the peace and tranquillity, that can cause unnecessary panic in the society should be avoided.
He also advised for timely dispatch of useful informations (when necessary and when due) to them.
He reiterated that nobody’s blood is worth this election and asked for utmost cooperation between them and the media, during and after the election, to make sure it is successful while avoiding any blood spill.
