Bola Tinubu loses to Peter Obi in Lagos presidential election
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party wins the presidential election in Lagos State, defeating the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate.
This was based on the results that were compiled at the Yaba collation center for the Lagos State of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Nine local government areas in the state were won by Obi.
Obi defeated Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard bearer, after the votes were calculated from all the 20 LGAs in the state.
Tinubu is a former Lagos governor and the state is historically his stronghold.
