Chelsea Defeats Leeds With Fofana’s Goal
Wesley Fofana relieved pressure on Chelsea manager Graham Potter with a 1-0 win for his team, against Leeds at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Seven minutes after halftime, Fofana put Chelsea ahead with his first league goal for the club, rising to head home Ben Chilwell‘s corner.
Chelsea’s first goal in 396 minutes, and only their second in seven games overall.
The Blues held on for their third win in their last 16 games across all competitions.
Ending a three-game losing streak will give Potter some breathing room ahead of Chelsea’s attempt to overcome a 1-nil deficit in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.
