Neymar, the forward for Paris Saint-Germain, will miss the club’s round of 16 second leg match against Bayern Munich due to injury.
Manager Christophe Galtier confirmed that the Brazil forward would miss next week’s match in Munich ahead of their Ligue 1 match against Nantes on Saturday.
Neymar was stretchered off the field with an ankle injury as PSG defeated Lille 4-3 at home on February 19.
PSG coach Galtier said: “We will not have [Neymar] available for the next two games,” Galtier said on Friday, calling it a “big loss”.
“We will have three midfielders and two attackers instead of two midfielders.”
In the absence of the talented forward Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are expected to lead PSG’s attack in the second leg on Wednesday.
The Ligue 1 leaders trail 1-0 from the first leg, with Kingsley Coman scoring the only goal of the game on 14 February at the Parc des Princes.
PSG will also be without injured midfielder Renato Sanches and defender Presnel Kimpembe when they face Nantes in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
