The Labour Party nominee, Gbadebo Rhodes for governor may be seen in the voting booths as he cast’s his votes.
Sanwo-Olu is an All Progressives Congress, or APC, member.
The incumbent governor is up against Abdul-Azeez, Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, of the People’s Democratic Party and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party to keep his position.

Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, voted in the ongoing governorship election on Saturday.
At his polling place in the Lagos State neighbourhood of Alausa, Tinubu exercised his civic duty.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is running for re-election.

In various areas of the state’s voting unit, there have been threats and violent acts.
Attacks and rampages by thugs occur in voting locations.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu claims there is no evidence of thuggery in the polling places, thus INEC officials claim there is no downloading of voting results to the voters.
People upset that officials have denied them the right to vote if they are not supporting their preferred choice (APC).

The victorious candidate must receive at least 25% of the vote in two-thirds of the LGAs as well as the majority of the votes.
These results were obtained from media reports and the state collation centres of INEC.
INEC has announced the results at a state collation facility. Only the Local Government Area level of collation is shown in the preliminary findings.
