Wanted National Assembly Lawmaker: Police Place N1 Million Bounty
Yakubu Shehu, a National Assembly Lawmaker, is wanted by police and has a N1 million bounty put on him.
Federal lawmaker, Yakubu Shehu has been declared wanted for homicide and has a N1 million reward put on him by the police command in Bauchi.
On the PRP ticket, Mr. Shehu is the federal candidate for the Bauchi district; however, he subsequently switched to the APC.
This information can be found in the Special Police Gazette Bulletin CB: 2685/Bsx/VOL.T/4s that was released on Tuesday by Ahmed Wakil, the spokesman for the Bauchi police headquarters.
According to the bulletin, Mr. Shehu had been proclaimed wanted by the Nigeria Police Force, which is led by Inspector General of Police Usman Baba.
He is wanted “in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, causing grievous hurt, inciting disturbances of public peace and culpable homicide.” The police are seeking” anyone with valid information that will lead to his arrest for interrogation and arraignment on criminal charges.”
The bulletin added that “anyone with information that could assist in his arrest should please contact 08151849417 or report at any nearest police station.”
It said the security agency asked anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to contact them, promising N1 million as a bounty.
