touchaheart Nigeria reports that the Ogun State collation center for the 2023 governor’s race, representatives of the People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress got into a fight on Sunday.
As Sunkanmi Oyejide, a PDP agent, protested against three agents’ repeated representations of the APC, trouble began to ensue.
Oyejide also expressed his displeasure that the APC purposefully interfered with the party’s strongholds in the state in order to deny its supporters voting rights.
If you look closely, the ruling party dismantled the PDP strongholds and disenfranchised our members, he remarked.
We want you to examine it critically and conduct research on it. The procedure must be open and honest.
However, the APC agent, who went by the name Adelani, refuted the PDP agent’s assertion.
The change caused the workout to be postponed for around 15 minutes before things got back to normal.
In order to settle the dispute, the party was instructed to select one of the three APC agents at the center by the state’s Independent National Electoral Returning Commissioner, Prof. Kayode Adebowale.
The PDP agent’s claim of strongholds was also criticized by him, who insisted that the regulations had been adhered to.
We don’t recognize strongholds, Adebowale remarked. The guidelines have been adhered to.
As more collation officers from the local government presented the results, the practice continued.
