Adamawa APC suspends ward excos indefinitely in response to the suspension of Boss Mustapha

The Adamawa APC has indefinitely suspended the party executives of Gwadabawa wards, Yola-North LGA, over the alleged unconstitutional suspension of Mr Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Dr Raymond Chidama, the party’s State Secretary, announced this at a news conference on Saturday in Yola.

He stated that the State Working Committee (SWC), led by Chief Samaila Tadawus, received the Yola-North Executive Committee’s resolution on the unconstitutional conduct of the suspended exco members for announcing to the media that they had suspended SGF from the party.

He stated that the LG executive committee recommended that they be suspended indefinitely and that a caretaker committee be formed.

Chidama stated that the SWC also considered Mr President’s confidence in the SGF, in which he bestowed National Honour, several letters of commendation, and appointed him to chair key Federal Government Committees and councils, the most recent being the Presidential Committee on Transition.

According to him, the SWC considers these individuals’ actions to be an embarrassment to the National Chairman, Mr President, and the party.

“As a result, the SWC approved the immediate removal from office of all Exco Members of Gwadabawa Ward.”

“Indefinite suspension of all Exco members of Gwadabawa ward from the party and establishment of seven-man Committee as recommended,” he said.

The secretary ordered all suspended members to immediately turn over all party property in their possession to the Chairman of Yola-North.

“All lower organs of the party are reminded to consult widely with their Stakeholders in the future before engaging in this type of white elephant investment,” he said.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the APC leadership in Gwadabawa ward suspended Mustapha from the party on Wednesday for alleged anti-party activities and failing to win his polling units during the general elections.

According to NAN, the SWC immediately lifted the suspension and directed local government officials to convene a disciplinary committee to determine appropriate action.
