In T-junction, Oko Osho, Epe, Lagos State, today, a fuel tanker exploded, setting off a fire that injured an armoured tank, the fire, which burned for several hours, was fought by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
According to reports, the accident involved a tanker that spilt its 33,000 litres of petroleum while it was fully loaded.
Due to the collision, which happened on Monday at 8:40 a.m., the entire road was blocked off, and traffic was redirected to alternate routes.
Adeseye Margaret, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed the fire event and stated that the service had responded to a fire incident brought on by a falling tanker at the T-junction in Oko Osho, Epe, Lagos State.
“The Agency’s Epe Fire Stations l and ll assisted in containing the ensuing fire mishap during the incident.

Due to the product’s volatility, the resulting fire also damaged a police armoured tank that was stationed there and was being used to patrol the area and neighbouring bush for security.
The driver, assistants, and police officers all managed to flee the collision unharmed, she continued, thus there were no casualties reported.
