Deputy Police Commissioner Kills Self In Oyo

 

A shocking incident has rocked the law enforcement community as Deputy Commissioner of Police Gbolahan Oyedemi, serving with the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Alagbon, Lagos State, reportedly took his own life in his private residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

 

Touchaheart reports that Oyedemi, who previously served as the Aide de Camp to the late former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala, during his 11-month tenure as de facto governor in 2006, was discovered deceased in his home on Monday.

 

According to sources close to the family, Oyedemi, who typically visited his hometown during Easter celebrations, had instructed his aides over the weekend to spend time with their families. However, he was found hanging in his house on Monday, sparking shock and speculation among those who knew him.

 

Confirming the tragic incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of FCID Alagbon, DSP Eguaoje Funmilayo, stated that the circumstances surrounding Oyedemi’s death were still unclear, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation.

 

Despite efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, for comment, he could not be reached as his mobile number was unreachable at the time.
