Cristiano Ronaldo Of Manchester United Has Won The Best FIFA Special Award

FIFA has recognized Cristiano Ronaldo for becoming the all-time best goalscorer at the international level.

 

Manchester United’s striker has now scored 115 goals for Portugal, surpassing Ali Daei’s previous high of 109.

At what was essentially a virtual celebration for FIFA’s The Best ceremony in Zurich on Monday, Ronaldo earned a unique in-person award and was also named in the FIFPRO Men’s World11 for 2021.

 

“It’s a fantasy. First of all, I have to say thank you to my teammates, especially in the national team during the last 20 years that I used to play with. I never thought of beating that record,” Ronaldo said.

 

“I have to express my gratitude to my family, my wife, and my children – I will soon be a father again!” I’m quite proud; being the all-time leading scorer is an incredible accomplishment.”

When asked how he keeps up his excellent goal-scoring form at the age of 36, he asserted that he is just as motivated as ever to score goals and win trophies.

 

“It’s a love,” Ronaldo continued, “and I still have a passion for the game, not just to score goals but to delight myself.” “I’ve been playing football since I was five or six years old, so I still like it when I step on the field, even in training.”

 

“I’ll be 37 in a few months, and I’m feeling terrific and driven.” I’ve been working hard since I was 18 years old and will continue to do so. That is my passion, and I intend to pursue it.

 

“When people ask how many more years I plan to play, I tell them I hope to play for at least four or five more years.” It’s all in your head because if you take care of your body, it will take care of you.”
