In A London Hotel, I was Almost Accused Of Stealing –  Bovi

Bovi Ugboma, a popular Nigerian comedian, has spoken out about a recent incident in which he was almost accused of stealing at a London hotel.

During his interrogation, the ace comedian revealed in a series of Instagram stories on Wednesday that he told staff at the London hotel to ‘google’ him in order to save himself.

He claimed he was trying to check into a hotel in London and was requested to show the card he used to reserve the room when he arrived.

Bovi stated that he informed the hotel that his wife assisted him in booking the room by using her credit card while she was in Nigeria.

He added that his explanation did not help the issue because they mistook him for a thief.

The comedian went on to say that things got much worse when his own credit card was denied.

Bovi claimed that he used the word ‘google me’ for the first time in his life to save himself from the scenario.

The actor also mentioned a well-known con artist by the name of Simon Leviev, who is infamous for Ponzi schemes and internet scams.

Leviev’s antics, according to Bovi, have’spoiled everywhere’ and have made businesses more aware of scams and cyber theft.

The comedian wrote, “Simon Leviev done spoil everywhere o. Tryna check into hotel in London and they insist I present the card that was used for the booking.

“I tell them it was done for me by my wife and she’s in Naija. That made it worse. They think I’m stealing. Then to crown am, my own card dey decline.

“For the first time in my life, I said the words ‘google me’.”
