Sadiya Haruna, a former Kannywood actress, was sentenced to six months in prison without the possibility of a fine by a magistrate sitting at Kano’s Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.

She was charged with defaming her ex-boyfriend and singer, Isa A. Isa, in front of the court. Sadiya Haruna, an actress and social media personality, however, appears to be a mystery.

  •  In 2017, she made her Kannywood debut in the film ‘Bakon Lagos,’ which translates to “Lagos guest.”
  •  Her saga began in 2018 when she accused Alhassan Kwalle, the Kannywood Chairman of the Actors Guild, of duping her when she attempted to produce her own film.
  •  She was forced to attend an Islamiyya school for six months by a court in Kano State after she was found guilty of broadcasting clips of seductive dances and other activities on her Instagram and YouTube feeds.
  •  It was also stated that in 2021, the Kannywood filmmaking industry disowned her, claiming that she had seized to be a member.
  •  She was previously married to Isa. I. Isa, with whom she made false claims, prompting him to file a case against her, for which she was recently convicted and sentenced to six months in prison.
